Palouse Heritage English Redhead™ Wheat is a late-maturing soft red grain of legendary flavor native to Great Britain where it has long been known as English Squarehead for the distinctive shape of its spikes. Also known by its more traditional name of Red Russian, it was introduced to the Columbia Plateau in the 1890s where it flourished in the Walla Walla Valley and the Palouse Hills.
